MET is a building material comprising engineered wood products with improved structural integrity. As MET is prefabricated offsite, it can achieve up to 35% in time savings at the project level with less dust and noise onsite. The highly precise and automated manufacturing processes results in high-quality finishing. Harvested from sustainably managed forests, MET buildings have a lower carbon footprint and net carbon emissions compared to steel or concrete buildings. Timber is also capable of carbon sequestration.
LGS unique characteristic lies in its strong yet lightweight nature which allows the fabrication and assembly process to be easier and safer. Additionally, as it is prefabricated offsite, this system results in a shorter construction period compared to conventional steel system. Its strength translates longer spanning length, and thus design flexibility without requiring intermediate columns or load bearing walls.
