Responsibilities

Reporting to the Project Manager/ Project Director/ Business Unit Head.

Jointly prepare the project start-up and execution plan with the Project Manager, as well as to define key project targets in terms of time, cost, quality, resources, EHS and contractual.

Lead a team of professional and technical staff in planning and execution of day-to-day operations to achieve all key project targets. Maintain site works arrangement, sequences and requirements.

Plan and update master programme, define and track key project milestones, review status of critical path and set pull-planning targets for the project team to manage site progress and activities effectively. Plan out catch-up schedule and resources, if necessary.

Resolve drawing and specification discrepancies.

Interpret contractual implications and requirements.

Work with the Project Director/ Project Manager on budget and cost estimation.

Liaise with client’s representatives and consultants for works requirements and on technical matters, including structural, architectural and M&E requirements and coordination.

Prepare project progress reports.
Requirements:
-
Degree in Building/ Civil Engineering/ Construction Management or related.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in site planning and coordination work for building projects.

Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, project design and planning parameters and authorities’ requirements; Competency in cross-disciplinary coordination and proficiency in scheduling works.

Adept at directing and coordinating members of the team by delegating tasks, resolving conflicts, setting project milestones, evaluating progress and promoting overall teamwork.

Capable of quick, logical thinking and able to react decisively to issues; adopt a proactive mindset when facing and solving issues; Meticulous in planning and attentive to details.

A proponent of lean principles, actively seeking to maximize value and minimize waste in processes and resource management; Believer of empirical data and measurement as the basis of decision-making to improve efficiency and productivity.

Applicants with prior relevant experience in residential/ commercial/ industrial/ healthcare/ institutional/ government sector/ others* projects will be preferred.
